About Beta Testing

Here at Sim Racing Machines we are constantly working on new and updated products.  If you would like to share in that development we have a Forum which a Beta testing section.

Sometimes we will have Beta testing products for sale on the shop.

What does buying a Beta product mean?

Beta products are priced as normal so you need to purchase them in the shop.

If you reply to us, ideally on the Forum, with meaningful feedback we will refund half the product price you paid, to say thank you.

Is there any risk buying a Beta product?

Of course the whole point of Beta testing is to make sure a product works and is reliable.  We will guarantee that the product will either work properly or that we will fix it by changing code.  In the event that the hardware fails or does not work we will either replace it or refund in full (including shipping).

Is there a difference between a Beta product and the retail product?

We only offer beta products that we have tested and believe will work fully.  In some cases where the retail product requires manufacturing processes I.e. an injection molded part, this might be a 3D printed part on the Beta product.  We will not substitute structural parts with 3D prints so these parts will be fit for purpose, you will just have a rougher finish on the 3D parts.
