Fanatec Bentley

1st November 2024

Good news, the Bentley wheel arrived here yesterday and we have been busy working on it.  We are making good progress and hope to have a new kit firmware early next week for it.
It is unlikely that we will have much done with the display, if anything.  But buttons, switches, knobs and LED's should be working.

Today Fanatec finally put this wheel up for sale.  I have ordered one today (18th October) and will work on the conversion once it arrives.

i don’t expect buttons to be difficult but the display might take quite some time.

Sim Expo Dortmund 2024

although I’m not exhibiting at the show, for the first time I will be visiting.  I will be there all three days so if you see me please say hello.

Simon.

EMULATOR BETA TESTERS WANTEDEmulator Beta Testing – Sim Racing Machines

Latest news at 1st September 2024

As the UK summer comes to an end and we enter the Autumn Sim Racing Machines continues to be busy.  Thank you all so much for your continued support.

The troubles at Fanatec have, i'm sure, made lots of customers look elsewhere and we continue to help where we can whether that's with spare parts, advice or converting wheels to work with different wheelbases.

We will keep designing and making new products.

We have noticed that there are now a lot of copies of Fanatec product now coming out of China.  Mainly parts based on the QR2.  We stock an OEM QR2 which is just as good as the genuine one.  Even one of our products has now been copied with a Tiny Emulator appearing for sale from China.

Stock products...

We have stock of the Fanatec BMW M4 GT3 wheel, both for Fanatec and converted to USB.  These are out of stock at Fanatec so expected to sell quickly.

BMWM4GT3

Also we are now stocking the Simagic GT Neo wheel fitted with our Emulator ready to be used on a Fanatec wheelbase.  This is a great wheel and such good value.

New products...

Several new products have been added to the shop recently.

QR1 base side for the Fanatec CSW wheelbase

Fanatec described this as a type F but have not delivered so I am making my own version to help out while Fanatec sort it out.

QR Adapter V2 for Fanatec QR1 and QR2

A new adapter plate for adding the QR1 and QR2 to a Non-Fanatec wheel which has an extra 70mm PDC hole

SRM Own 2M USB Extension cable

Our own 2 meter USB extension cable with the same high quality as the 6x cables.

Shaft Extension Kit V2 For Fanatec Wheel Base

A new version of out Fanatec shaft extension that lets you  add both the base side and wheel side QR parts with a cable inside.

Emulator news...

The Fanatec wheel Emulator remains one of our best selling and most popular products.  With the new design it is much slimmer and lighter.

Never one to stop developing we have plans to make the emulator work as one of the newer Fanatec wheels and therefore open up more functions for DIY wheels.

We will be offering some products during September for Beta testing.  The plan is for you to just pay shipping and get a product that you can test for free.  This will be very limited in quantity and may be restricted to customers with certain Fanatec wheelbases.  So keep an eye on the product pages if interested.

Conversion kit news...

With the launch last month of kit firmware V6.05 we are confident that we have a robust product that will see the kits through for quite a long time.  This version fixes various issues including making the Podium Hub and Podium Button Box with older Fanatec firmware work properly.

Summary...

I would like to continue to thank you all for your support.  Sim Racing Machines would not be making these products and developing new ones without you guys buying them and providing feedback.
