An all too common occurrence on a Fanatec steering wheel is the dreaded broken pin.
But don't despair here at SRM we can help. We make a range of replacement parts that you can purchase in the shop so that you can get your wheel working again.
Replacement Pin Plugs – Sim Racing Machines
Why should you buy a replacement from Sim Racing Machines?
- Direct from Fanatec
- A company in China called Simube
- Sim Racing Machines
The Fanatec part and the Simube part are both sealed in a plastic casing so it's not possible to repair them if they break again. The Fanatec pins seem to be quite brittle and break fairly easily.
Fanatec HY part

We brought a part from Simube and it looks good, but arrived in a jiffy bag - How the pins were not damaged in transit I do not know!
Simube HY part

SRM All in one part
Here at SRM we try to use only the best quality materials and packaging. So we may not be the cheapest but I'm confident that we are the best.

Bear in mind that Fanatec have used three different connections to their wheels over the years.
- 8 Pin JST 2.0 pitch
- 12 Pin JST 2.0 pitch
- 12 Pin HY 2.0 pitch
The replacement pin plug we have sold for several years requires you to know what plug you need and choose the correct one. Many customers get confused and order the wrong one!!! With our new, All in one version you cannot make that mistake because it's a modular system and comes with all three plug types in the box.
Simube only seem to make the HY version.
The SRM pin plugs can also be repaired, not that they break unless misused. We sell a range of spare parts

Hello,
I’m Petar from Bulgaria. I have some experience soldering cables — the issue started after a bolt broke, and then the wheel rotated endlessly and cut the internal wires.
I tried to fix it using a schematic I found on a forum, but it didn’t work. Could you please provide an official wiring schematic showing which cable goes to which pin?
I promise to keep the information confidential — and I really appreciate your help! 😄
Best regards,
Petar
