Latest news at 27th December 2024
As 2024 comes to an end I would like to personally thank everyone for their support of SRM this year. Without you guys buying the products there would be no Sim Racing Machines.
We have seen some great improvements during the year with the conversion kits getting new firmware that provides more functions and reliability as well as support for new wheels like the Fanatec Bentley GT3.
During the year we have also seen big changes with Fanatec and China copying some of our products and many of Fanatec's. Corsair taking over Fanatec has to be a good thing and already we are all seeing improvements with supply and support. I expect to see Fanatec / Corsair taking action against the Chinese copies soon.
As I keep saying, Sim Racing Machines is a small company and as such it is not possible to pay for any patents or copyright, which means we cannot defend against copies. We can, however, keep developing new and enhanced products. This is why your support is so important because it allows us to keep developing and supporting the Sim Racing Community.
Stock products...
The SImagic GT Neo continues to be a great seller and we try to keep them in stock fitted with the Emulator so that it can be used on a Fanatec wheelbase.
New products and developments...
Several new products have been added to the shop recently.
6 x 70mm hole QR adapter and Emulator We launched a new adapter a few months ago which has 6 wheel mounting holes and uses M5 Nuts instead of custom made inserts, This has proven very popular. All of the adapters and Emulators will start to have nut inserts going forward. |

Emulator news...
Beta testing of the new Emulator firmware was flawless and the new firmware is ready to go. The only thing holding me back is that I want to allow you to be able to update the firmware again if needed. So I am working on a new PCB that will have a USB plug and enable you to update if needed.
Expect this late January - mid February.
I am also working on allowing adding clutches and a hat switch with encoder to the new version. So you could use the full Fanatec APM if wanted.
Conversion kit news...
As mentioned about the conversion kit now works with the Bentley GT3 wheel.
I am clearing out stocks of the 5x conversion kit. This is available for 1/2 price while stock last.
The 6.26x conversion kit is working brilliantly and continues to be in high demand.
As we go forward into 2025 I have some plans to update the conversion kit with both 7x and 7.2a versions expected. What will these new versions mean?
I have already been working on a new case and PCB design... My main aim is to reduce the height. I have managed to get this down by 6.5mm
The 7x will have the new case but remain based on the PIC24 processor while the 7.2a will move to the ARM processor which opens up more scope. We hope this will allow us to add wireless as an option as well as allow using the BME and Rally boxes without the need for the Podium Hub. The 7.2a is very much work in progress, but we wanted you to know what we are working on.
Summary...
I would like to continue to thank you all for your support. Sim Racing Machines would not be making these products and developing new ones without you guys buying them and providing feedback.
