How they attach to the wheel and the wheel PCB.

All conversion kits use the same electronics and firmware, so they can all work with the same Fanatec wheels. When a firmware upgrade is published, it can be applied to any of the conversion kits listed below.

Which kit do I need?

I am delighted to confirm that the new Fanatec Porsche Vision GT wheel is fully working on the conversion kits.
You will need conversion kit firmware V6.10 or above.  So your conversion kit must have firmware 5.80 or higher so that you can flash it to 6.10 using my software.
The wheel works with the 5x, 6x and 7x conversion kits.

5x Lite Kit

  • Compatible with older Fanatec wheels – older Quick Release.
  • Connections for 12-pin and 8-pin on wheel PCBs.
  • Fitted by opening the wheel and bolting from the inside.

    7x Kit

    • The next version of conversion kit... taking the 6.26x further by reducing it's height and making things even easier to fit.
    • Compatible with newer Fanatec wheels – QR1 / QR2 Quick Release (Plastic or Metal).
    • Quick and easy to fit to your wheel.
    • Fitted by pushing onto the male wheel pins – no need to open the wheel.
    • 7x version will allow the Podium Button Box to work on the Podium Hub and Universal Hub V2
    • I strongly recommend this kit for the BMW M4, Podium Hub and Universal Hub V2 because it's much easier to fit.

    5.2x Base Side

      • Designed to attach to your wheelbase.
      • QR1 and QR2 versions available.
      • Uses Sim Racing Bay male QR and has female pins.
      • Once fitted to your wheelbase you just use it like a Fanatec wheelbase.
      • No Fanatec wheel conversion needed.
      • 5.2x version will allow the Podium Button Box to work on the Podium Hub, Universal Hub V2 and V1
