Today Fanatec has launched 2 new products.
The Formula V3 wheel and wheel hub.
Formula V3 wheel:
I have ordered the wheel today so that I can check that it will work with the conversion kits I sell. I doubt it will work without a conversion kit firmware upgrade.
None of my conversion kits work with the telemetry display that this wheel has. All I have been able to do it make the display work in "Legacy mode" meaning that it will only display 3 digits in the middle of the display for Gear, Speed or RPM.
With the sim racing market so competitive and sales slowing at Sim Racing Machines, I'm not sure I will be able to spend time trying to make telemetry work. Sorry.
Fanatec Wheel Hub:
This is great to see. Fanatec have finally recognised that a slim hub is what customers want. However, this will inevitably have a bit affect on sales of my Emulator products.
I will trim the cost of my Emulators down as far as I can to sell the stock I have but any help from the sim racing community to support my products would be so welcome.
Please continue to support me. Without you I cannot keep working on new products and making sure the conversion kits work with new wheels.
