Conversion Kit 7.2x Mini to convert a Fanatec Gaming Steering Wheel to USB
Product description:
Convert your Fanatec gaming steering wheel to USB so that it can be used with a different wheelbase.
Fanatec steering wheels will only work on a Fanatec wheelbase without modification. Our conversion kit allows these wheels to be used via USB.
This is a very basic kit that will allow controlling your USB wheel using a USB cable. The Mini kit does not include any way of fitting the kit to the wheel or applying the USB cable. This is a DIY product not a full kit.
Using our own custom made Printed Circuit Board the conversion will allow your PC to send and receive data from the Steering Wheel. This allows all of the steering wheel inputs to work (Including buttons, switches, joysticks, hat switches, rotary encoders, rotary switches, gear shifters and clutch paddles). You can control the wheel features using Fanatec drivers and software (including Displays*, LED's and Clutch bite point)
- No telemetry data is available on displays.
What does the kit work on?
Please look at the compatibility tab for a full list of compatible wheels. Basically the kit will work on all Fanatec gaming wheels
Because the kit connects via USB it does not matter which wheelbase you want to use. It will work with anything. The only aspect you need to consider is how to physically attach the wheel to the wheelbase.
Our conversion kits only work on PC not console. They use Fanatec drivers and software.
You cannot use a converted wheel on a Fanatec wheelbase. If the Fanatec software sees two wheelbases (the conversion kit appears as a Fanatec wheelbase) then it cannot cope.
Supplied in the kit:
- Conversion PCB Only
- 3 x Cables - 8 pin JST, 12 pin JST and 12 pin HY
THIS IS A DIY KIT - IF YOU WANT A COMPLETE KIT PLEASE PURCHASE THE 7x Plug in and play kit.
Make sure the cable is attached as shown with the lug underneath not on top... as shown here. Connecting it the wrong why could damage your wheel.
